-criteria are rules for judging something or making decision.
-diameter is the measurement of one side of a circle to the other side through the middle of the circle.
-evaluate is when you examine something closely to decide its value

-spheres is anything shaped like a round ball or globe
Lang Arts Adjectives
-Adjectives give more description to a noun
-Comparative adjectives are used when comparing two things. You use "er" at the end of the word
-Superlative adjectives are used when comparing three or more things. You use "est" at the end of the word.
-Remember for words that end in "y" you change the "y" to an "i" and add either "er' or "est"
-If the word ends in an "e" do not double the "e"
-Math Adding and Subtracting Fractions with unlike denominators
Problem: 1/3 + 2/4
-Find a common denominator(bottom number) between the two by finding the least common multiple (LCM). This is where you list out the multiples of each denominator. So for this problem we would list the multiples of 3 and 4.
(3,6,9,12,15,18) (4,8,12,16,20). The smallest number in both lists is 12.
We changed out problem from 1/3 +2/4 to ?/12 + ?/12
-You now have to adjust your numerator (top number). Ask yourself what did you multiple 3 by to get 12. We multiplied 3 x 4. So what we do to the bottom we have to do to the top. So for 1/3 we would multiple 1x4 which makes our new numerator 4. Ask yourself what did you multiple 4 by to get 12. We multiplied 4x3. So what we do to the bottom we have to do to the top. So for 2/4 we would multiple 2x3 which makes our new numerator 6.
Problem now 4/12+6/12
-Remember denominators stay the same and we add the numerators together. So 4+6=10
Answer: 10/12
-We now have to find the greatest common factor (GCF). Make a list of what numbers that when multiple together will equal your number. For 10 I know that (1x10, 2x5) For 12 I know that (1x12, 2x6, 3x4). We are looking for the BIGGEST number in both lists. Which is 2.
-Use your Greatest Common Factor to divide but the numerator and the denominator. Numerator(10 divided by 2 equals 5) Denominator (12 divided by 2 equals 6)
